Proteomics & Metabolomics

Storrs
Center for Open Research Resources and Equipment

The Proteomics & Metabolomics Facility implements ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) coupled to high resolution mass spectrometry (MS) to unambiguously identify proteins, peptides and small molecules in complex mixtures.

The UConn Proteomics & Metabolomics Facility (PMF) provides analytical services to support the identification and quantification of proteins, peptides, and metabolites in a wide range of sample types using methods rooted in advanced mass spectrometry for both internal and external investigators. Our proteomic and metabolomic workflows include optimized acquisition methods utilizing ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) for deep proteome and metabolome coverage incorporating a variety of quantitative methods (e.g. label-free vs isotope labeled methods). Proteomic analysis is offered as full-service and metabolomic analysis is available via full-service or user-operation following completion of comprehensive training exercises. PMF provides both targeted and untargeted profiling options within each analytical platform. PMF also offers customized training exercises upon request and in group settings through regular hands-on workshops. New project or reservation requests can be initiated using the “Submission Forms” section below.
